Bevor es weiter nach Queenstown ging haben wir unterwegs oft mit dem Stray Bus angehalten um uns zum Einen natürlich die Landschaft anzusehen, aber auch um den Ort zu besuchen an dem das Bungy Springen populär wurde. Kurz vor Queenstown und neben einem Feld auf dem Alanis Morissette Neuseeland unterhielt, findet sich eine alte Eisenbahnbrücke an der A. J. Hackett das Bungy Springen für die Allgemeinheit populär machte. Heute ist der Ort weltberühmt und definitiv ein Besuch wert auch wenn ich es mich im Leben nicht traue. Für mich war der Audi R8 auf dem Parkplatz schon Attraktion genug. Anschließend geht es in die Stadt weiter in die größte Stadt im Süden, die zwar viele Bekannte Marken beherbergt und ein großer Touristenmagnet ist, jedoch auf einer Größe, über die sogar Herbern lachen würde. Abends ging es dann zum Lieblingsplatz unserer Busfahrerin Natalie und danach in die Clubs der Stadt. Am nächsten Tag ging es mit der Seilbahn hoch hinaus über die Stadt, die malerisch am Rande eines Sees liegt, der umgeben von riesigen Bergen ist. Anschließend mit einigen aus dem Stray Bus in die Stadt, wo in der Yonder Bar eine Band spielte. Am letzten Tag stand dann noch der Stadtgarten auf meinem Plan. Interessanterweise hat diesen noch kein Tourist für sich entdeckt und man konnte ganz für sich den Garten erkunden. Am meisten habe ich mich jedoch gefreut Nina und Nele in Queenstown zu treffen. Seit meiner Ankunft in Neuseeland treffe ich die beiden immer wieder.
Before the Stray bus arrived in Queenstown we stoped at some spots for some great images of the landscape but also to stop at at the place where the Bungy Jump became famous. In a short distance to Queenstown next to a field where Alanis Morissette entertained New Zealand you can find an old rail road birdge where A. J. Hackett made Bungy Jumping popular. Today the place is world famous and definitely worth a visit even though I’m never going to jump from a bridge. For me the Audi R8 on the parking lot was stunning enough. After the visit we were heading to the city of Queenstown that inhabits some well known brands and is also a huge tourist attraction but on the other hand in a size my home town would lough about. In the evening we went to the favorite spot of our bus driver Natalie and afterwards to the clubs of the city. The next day, the cable car took us high above the city, beautiful located at a lake surrounded by huge mountains. Then with some people from the Stray bus into the city, where a band played at the Yonder bar. On the last day, the city garden was on my plan. Strangely this has not been discovered by tourists yet and I could explore it on my own. The best part was that I finally met Nina and Nele in Queenstown again. Since I arrived in New Zealand we met all over the country.
