Das Sponsoring-Team ist da

Am 4. März war es schließlich soweit, dass ich mich in den Bus zum Flughafen gesetzt habe. Nicht aber etwa um nach Hause zu fliegen. Gegen Mittag habe ich meine Eltern in Auckland am Flughafen abgeholt und sie standesgemäß mit zwei Flaschen L&P in Empfang genommen. Nach ihrem vierzehn stündigen Flug mit dem A380 von Dubai ging es den beiden überraschend gut und so entschloss ich mit ihnen Auckland zu erkunden. Neben der Queen Street stand der Yachthafen auf dem Programm, in dem zur Zeit das Volvo Ocean Race pausierte und aus Hongkong gekommen war. In den Tagen davor habe ich bereits alle Attraktionen, die das Rennen gegen Mikroplastik aufgebaut hat, besucht und auch auf der Volvo Party gewesen, welche in einem großen Volvo Pavillon stattgefunden hat. Daher konnte ich nun meinen Eltern hier alles zeigen und ihnen die neue Fahrzeugpalette von Volvo zeigen. Mal sehen ob das nächste Auto immer noch vier Ringe trägt;) Zum Abend hin sind wir noch auf das Laternen Fest auf dem Museumshügel gegangen. Am nächsten Tag stand dann noch Mount Victoria auf dem Sightseeing Plan, welcher eine hervorragende Aussicht über die gesamte Bucht bietet und zum Abendessen im Headquarter mit anschließendem Abendspaziergang durch die Stadt. Der dritte Tag war dann schließlich der Tag an dem wir unseren Campervan abgeholt haben und es mit unserem Abenteuer im Maui losgeht.

On the 4th of March, I finally got on the bus to the airport. But not to fly home. At noon I picked up my parents in Auckland at the airport and welcomed them with two bottles of L&P. After their fourteen-hour flight on the A380 from Dubai, the two were surprisingly well and so I decided to explore Auckland with them. First the Queen Street and the marina, where the Volvo Ocean Race was currently pausing and coming from Hong Kong. In the days before I have already visited all the attractions that are built up for the race against microplastics and also been at the Volvo party, which took place in a large Volvo pavilion. Therefore, I could now show my parents everything and show them the new vehicle range of Volvo. Let’s see if the next car still wears four rings;) In the evening we went to the lantern party on the museum hill. The next day Mount Victoria was on the sightseeing plan, which offers a great view over the bay and dinner at the headquarter followed by an evening walk through the city. The third day was finally the day we picked up our campervan and our adventure in the Maui begins.
